Hello. Alli here. I was rescued from a bad old shelter
in Scott County Kentucky. A nice rescue lady from the same area tracked down my mom in the Derby City. She
told mom I was going to be put to sleep the next morning, if someone didn't save me. Mom called the shelter right
away and left a message to say she wanted to get me, and please don't put me to sleep. I don't know what's
so bad about going to sleep, but mom told me later that I would never wake up from that sleep. Scary! Thank goodness
the shelter people checked their messages when they first opened the next morning. Mom called them first thing too,
just to make sure it wasn't too late. Mom and dad made the trip to pick me up later that day. That was about
4 years ago. I had a few problems and had to have some surgery to get fixed(?) and some lumps removed. My skin
was in bad condition. It was black and lots of my hair was missing. Also, my back knees were all out of wack.
The doc said, they were so far gone, they weren't even causing me any pain. I just walk kind of funny. As
the years have gone by, I've developed cataracts on my eyes and I'm pretty much totally blind now. But, that
doesn't stop me, and only barely slows me down. Yep, I think you'd have to say I'm a tough little terrier.
